Fresh beat and blooming flowers.

Just wanna say that the one and only David Archuleta came to my country, Malaysia, last Wednesday and my school happens to be the winner of a contest which lets David come to our school to meet us. And he did came to our school last Thursday and everybody was all hyper and crazy. He sang 2 songs which were, "Crush" and "A Little Too Not Over You". And I heard that while he's in Malaysia, David only perform one public concert which was last Saturday.

So today my school had assembly. Our principle was so proud of us 'cause she said that the reason we won the contest is because we participated together as a school and that we showed excellent teamwork. She said that not only are we lucky to have won the contest that competes over 800 other schools in Malaysia, but we're also fortunate because David Archuleta held a private concert only for us and took his time to personally talk and motivate us. Mr. Archuleta said that he loved KDU student's energy and that when he came to KDU (the name of my school; its a private school btw), he could instantly tell that it is a top school from how clean it is and all. And that he loved all the little posters of him and his name they put up.

On top of that, our principle told us an interesting incident that happened last Thursday when David came to KDU. Before Mr. Archuleta sang in the hall, he had to go to the toilet. So when his bodyguard escorted him there, he saw a cleaner (the only cleaner specially assigned to clean David's toilet that day) and approached her. David asked for her name and she told him. Then...he held out his hand and shook hands with the cleaner. He said with a smile, "Thank you so much for keeping this school clean". And when we all heard that from Mrs. Chan I heard a few "Awwwww". But WOW, David Archuleta is so kind. Well, I always knew he's kind but never this kind. And wow....wow. He is so KIND.

Oh and David looks so darn hot in a baju Melayu. Baju Melayu is traditional Malay clothes worn by Malays in our country. I mean, c'mon!! How many celebrities came in and out of our country and even tried on our traditional clothes? Let alone compliment them. I feel so happy I could cry. And David knows how to make people do that. I love him. I truly, deeply pray that his altruistic trait infects other people and that he'll be the cause to make this world a greater place.

So here's a few pictures I took of him wearing our baju Melayu, GO LOOK:

And thats just about how my life is right now. Oh, and I entered myself in a public speaking competition so I'm freaking out about it. I've never even been on public speaking before and I entered a competition. I'm so gonna fry myself out there. Also, I'm currently continuing an old painting so I hope to submit it soon. In the meantime, take care you guys.

Hope to hear from you guys too,
Lidiya. :floating:

If practice makes perfect, but nobody\'s perfect, why practice? Just kidding. Ovira.
My avatar was created by Janstu18 or Sasu-Chan1234. I don\'t know which one, they both had the same one! T_T

That sounds so cool. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
(I feel kinda bad now, because I rooted for David Cook...)

Haha, glad I did too. Its just unbelievable how my school won from all the 800 over other schools. :wow:

Well, Cook and Archuleta are both legends in my book. They're both equally amazing in their own unique way. To me, David Cook's song are more "rough" and Archuleta's are "soft and smooth" but I'm more of a "soft" song fan. :aww: What kind of song do you like to listen to? =)

I'm a little more in the "rough" camp if anything.
I likes me a little metal.

And I'm looking very Shane today.
:iconlacelette:
Wow, so I guess David Archuleta never came to Brazil before huh? He is the youngest finalist in American Idol back in 2006 (16 year old that time). But he lost to the singer David Cook.

But his songs are great and his voice is just gorgeous. Why don't you listen for yourself? ===> [link] =)
